Welcome to Pollinate The Blue Mountains
Pollinate TBM is a grassroots community-based initiative. Our objective is to make The Town of the Blue Mountains a pollinator-friendly community by creating a series of pollinator habitats across our community. At the same time, educating residents on the environmental benefits & need for pollinator-friendly sustainable gardens.
Local Gardens
Pollinate TBM had hoped to establish 3 gardens in our first year of operating. It went a bit better than we had hoped, with 16 gardens, enough to be designated a Butterflyway from the David Suzuki Foundation.
Please contact us if you wish to have your garden certified as part of The Butterflyway Project under The David Suzuki Foundation.
By the fall of 2023, a total of 34 gardens have been planted, including 13 canoe gardens. Here are a few of them!
